Fractal Typography Installation
- Released on January, 2009
Fractal Typography is an art installation that renders Japanese text into a "fractal-like" pattern The fractal pattern is generated by a Javascript library developed in-house and displayed on a browser.
The installation was submitted for display at the Typographic Renaissance "Typologic - Playing with Text, Discover and Create" Exhibition (October 16 - December 18, 2009). The text flowing across the screen of the installation is taken from an essay by Mr. Chihiro Minato. It was parsed and segmented into logical phrase units, then positioned into a fractal-like pattern using subdivision surface modeling techniques.
